Important safety information:
The risk of loss of normal bowel function may be greater if you take Docusate Sodium in high doses or for a long time. Do NOT take more than the recommended dose or use for longer than prescribed without checking with your doctor.
If your symptoms do not get better within 1 week or if they get worse, check with your doctor.
Check with your doctor if you do not have a bowel movement or if you have rectal bleeding after using Docusate Sodium (Yal).

Sorbitol (Yal) dosing
Usual Adult Dose for Constipation:
Oral: 30 to 150 mL once. Rectal: 120 mL (25% to 30% solution) as a rectal enema once.
Usual Pediatric Dose for Constipation:
2 to 11 years: Oral: 2 mL/kg (70% solution) once. Rectal: 30 to 60 mL (25% to 30% solution) as a rectal enema once. Greater than or equal to 12 years: Oral: 30 to 150 mL (70% solution) once. Rectal: 120 mL (25% to 30% solution) as a rectal enema once.
Can Yal be stopped immediately or do I have to stop the consumption gradually to ween off?
