What is Toledomin

Toledomin dosing

Usual Adult Dose for Fibromyalgia:

Dosing should be titrated according to the following schedule:
Initial dose on day 1: 12.5 mg once
Days 2 and 3: 12.5 mg twice daily
Days 4 through 7: 25 mg twice daily
After day 7: 50 mg twice daily
Recommended maintenance dose: 50 mg twice daily
Based on individual patient response, the dose may be increased to 100 mg twice daily. Doses above 200 mg/day have not been studied.
Toledomin should be tapered and not abruptly discontinued after extended use.
Toledomin may be given orally with or without food. However, taking Toledomin with food may improve the tolerability of the drug.

Who should not take Toledomin?

Serious and sometimes fatal reactions can occur when these medicines are taken with Toledomin. You must wait at least 14 days after stopping an MAO inhibitor before you can take Toledomin. After you stop taking Toledomin, you must wait at least 5 days before you start taking an MAOI.

You should not use this medication if you are allergic to Toledomin, or if you have untreated or uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma.

You may have thoughts about suicide while taking this medication, especially if you are younger than 24 years old. Tell your doctor if you have new or worsening depression or suicidal thoughts during the first several weeks of treatment, or whenever your dose is changed.

They can add to sleepiness caused by Toledomin.
