What is Oftan Metaoksedrin
Oftan Metaoksedrin is a decongestant that shrinks blood vessels. Dilated blood vessels can cause hemorrhoids.Oftan Metaoksedrin rectal is used on the rectum to relieve itching, burning, irritation, and swelling caused by hemorrhoids.
Oftan Metaoksedrin rectal may also be used for purposes not listed in Oftan Metaoksedrin guide.

How should I take Oftan Metaoksedrin?
Use exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. Follow the directions on your prescription label.
You may use Oftan Metaoksedrin rectal up to 4 times daily, especially after a bowel movement.
For best results, clean your rectum with a moist cloth or wipe before using this medication. Gently dry the area by blotting with toilet tissue.
Do not place Oftan Metaoksedrin rectal cream, gel, or ointment inside your rectum. These forms of Oftan Metaoksedrin rectal are for use only on the area around and just outside of your rectum.
Only the rectal suppository should be placed into the rectum.
Wash your hands before and after inserting the rectal suppository.
Gently insert the suppository into your rectum about 1 inch. For best results after inserting the suppository, hold it in your rectum for a few minutes.
Do not use Oftan Metaoksedrin rectal for longer than 7 days in a row. Talk with your doctor if your symptoms do not improve, or if they get worse after treatment.
Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
What other drugs will affect Oftan Metaoksedrin?
Ask a doctor or pharmacist if it is safe for you to use Oftan Metaoksedrin rectal if you are also using any of the following drugs:
