MetroGel-Vaginal 1% gel or cream: Apply a thin film to the affected area once a day.
MetroGel-Vaginal 0.75% gel, cream, or lotion: Apply a thin film to the affected area twice a day.

Usual Adult Dose for Bacterial Vaginosis:

Insert one applicatorful of MetroGel-Vaginal 0.75% vaginal gel intravaginally once or twice a day for 5 consecutive days.
