What is Etadotbal

Treating tuberculosis infections of the lung along with other medicines. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Etadotbal is an antibacterial agent. It works by stopping the growth of TB cells, which results in cell death.

Important safety information:

Etadotbal may cause dizziness. This effect may be worse if you take it with alcohol or certain medicines. Use Etadotbal with caution. Do not drive, operate machinery, or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to it.
Etadotbal may cause decreased vision clearness, including vision loss. This effect may be related to the dose that you take and how long you take Etadotbal. It is usually reversible when Etadotbal is stopped. However, permanent blindness has been reported. Contact your doctor right away if you experience vision changes. Discuss any questions or concerns with your doctor.
Be sure to use Etadotbal for the full course of treatment. If you do not, the medicine may not clear up your infection completely. The bacteria could also become less sensitive to this or other medicines. This could make the infection harder to treat in the future.
Etadotbal only works against bacteria; it does not treat viral infections (eg, the common cold).
Long-term or repeated use of Etadotbal may cause a second infection. Tell your doctor if signs of a second infection occur. Your medicine may need to be changed to treat this.
Lab tests, including liver and kidney function, complete blood cell counts, and vision, may be performed while you use Etadotbal. These tests may be used to monitor your condition or check for side effects. Be sure to keep all doctor and lab appointments.
Etadotbal should not be used in CHILDREN younger than 13 years old; safety and effectiveness in these children have not been confirmed.
PREGNANCY and BREAST-FEEDING: If you become pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Etadotbal while you are pregnant. Etadotbal is found in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you use Etadotbal, check with your doctor. Discuss any possible risks to your baby.

Etadotbal side effects

Appetite loss; dizziness; general body discomfort; headache; nausea; stomach upset or pain; vomiting.
