What is Czoprexx XL

Treating high blood pressure or benign prostatic hyperplasia. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Czoprexx XL is an alpha-blocker. It works by causing the blood vessels and the muscles around the urethra (the tube leading out of the bladder) to relax. This helps to lower blood pressure and to improve urinary symptoms associated with enlargement of the prostate (BPH).

Important safety information:

Czoprexx XL may cause dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting after the first dose. Take the first dose at bedtime. If you get up during the night, sit up and stand slowly. Continue to sit up and stand slowly while you are taking Czoprexx XL.
Czoprexx XL may cause dizziness, drowsiness, lightheadedness, or blurred vision. These effects may be worse if you take it with alcohol or certain medicines. Use Czoprexx XL with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to it.
Czoprexx XL may cause dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting; alcohol, hot weather, exercise, or fever may increase these effects. To prevent them, sit up or stand slowly, especially in the morning. Sit or lie down at the first sign of any of these effects.
Avoid engaging in any hazardous tasks for at least 24 hours after taking the first dose, missing several doses, increasing the dose, or taking other high blood pressure medications.

Patients who take medicine for high blood pressure often feel tired or run down for a few weeks after starting treatment. Be sure to take your medicine even if you may not feel "normal." Tell your doctor if you develop any new symptoms.
Czoprexx XL may interfere with certain lab tests, including tests for pheochromocytoma. Be sure your doctor and lab personnel know you are taking Czoprexx XL.
Use Czoprexx XL with extreme caution in the ELDERLY; they may be more sensitive to its effects.
Czoprexx XL should not be used in CHILDREN; safety and effectiveness in children have not been confirmed.
